Boxwood Hospitality | An Introduction

Over the past year, you may have seen some new branding at The Laurel in the name of Boxwood Hospitality. When we started building The Laurel five years ago, only one thing really mattered to us — earning your trust. We knew that only time would allow us to prove who we are: a reliable, creative, driven, and approachable team. In the world of hospitality, when you partner with someone to create exceptional experiences for your people, trust is paramount.

Five years in and our priority is exactly the same as day one, but now we have incredible stories to tell, 2 more beautiful venues, and a new name to go with it.

Boxwood Hospitality currently manages three distinct properties throughout North Texas; having developed and renovated one from the ground up, and transformed another inside and out.

The Laurel, a hill-country inspired special events venue built on six acres of land beside Cottonwood Creek, was created to offer an escape in the middle of Dallas-Fort Worth. The Laurel has hosted everything from weddings to special occasions and corporate events, and is renowned for ensuring that every detail helps build the most memorable moments for every client.

The Cliff House, an 85-year-old church steps from the Bishop Arts District in the heart of Oak Cliff, was lovingly built by the hands of its pastor and congregation in the 1930s. Today it is fully restored, bursting with charm, and open for all kinds of special events from weddings to beautiful private parties. The Cliff House has been apart of many of life’s biggest moments for almost a century.

In 2017, Four Corners Brewing enlisted Boxwood Hospitality to manage their historic 1916 property as they moved into the Stables building of the former Ambassador Hotel in the historic Cedars area south of Downtown Dallas. The Stables offers the appeal of century-old architecture with an industrial feel, as well as views of the contemporary downtown Dallas Skyline.

Behind every great partnership we’ve formed is the true heart and soul of Boxwood Hospitality — our dedicated team. Co-founders Lynn and Thomas Bain hand-picked the most obsessively committed hospitality experts and event managers who never stop proving themselves as master executors of incredible and memorable events.

Our inspiration - the Boxwood plant - is known for its southern grace, strength and versatility, and has a unique way of standing out, without needing to fight for attention. Because our desire is to accommodate your vision no matter how bold or wild, formal or classic, refined or rustic — the Boxwood became our perfect symbol of hospitality.

As we embrace these early years of building trust with our new clients and partners, we wanted to take a moment now to introduce ourselves to you. We are Boxwood Hospitality and we are here to help you create unforgettable event experiences in the most beautiful and unique venues DFW has to offer.
