Playing the Macarena, Electric Slide, Butterfly Kisses and pronouncing names correctly for wedding parties have historically been the most popular requests for wedding DJs
However, while executing a playlist and list of names by your DJ can get the job done, it also lacks the magical touch we have seen LeForce Entertainment put on every event at The Laurel. Brides and grooms have always received more than they could imagine.
Because we admire LeForce’s work ethic so much we had to learn more about why they do what they do.
The Laurel: LeForce obviously cares about their clients, always going the extra mile to ensure they feel cared for. Why is that?
LeForce: This really goes back to why we started LeForce in the first place. We set out to create a company that could provide a great client-focused experience and quality DJs that exceeded expectations! We set ourselves apart with the training of our DJs, customer service and quality equipment.
All our DJs go through DJ training and a separate MC training developed by our top performers. A large portion of our DJ roster are also experienced Masters of Ceremonies. These are the guys that help clients navigate how to best arrange their timeline to have the wedding they always dreamed of!
TL: Creating an ambiance that reflects the bride and groom is important. How do you help couples who want a super fun, energetic party — compared to couples who want classical and reserved?
LF: The key to getting the right mood set for a client is the prep work. All our DJs have a planning meeting with their clients to go over timeline, special music choices and more. One thing we try to dial in on is what the client needs to have a great time! Customer service is huge for us and we consider this to be integral for a successful event.
LF (cont.): There are so many ways we can create ambiances at a wedding from room transformations with uplighting, pinspots and draping to creating an awesome party atmosphere which can include interactive photo lounges, disco sticks, confetti cannons and most importantly perfectly suited music to get the guests dancing!
TL: How important is good lighting?
LF: A room can be absolutely stunning but as soon as the sun goes down if gorgeous florals aren’t lit or the stunning cake can't be seen you lose so much romantic atmosphere! Simple lighting options can really give the "wow factor"! We love working with clients to find how to best use lighting to maximize their event space.
TL: Any specific moments that stand out from your events at The Laurel?
LF: We've have celebrated with so many awesome couples at the Laurel it's really hard to choose a favorite, but recently DJ/MC Cratin Sheffield had a rockin' reception — check out this back of camera shot from Joseph Mark Photography!
