With a heart for their clients and designs bursting with creativity, Haute Floral provides a one-of-a-kind experience from beginning to end. We have had the privilege of watching Haute Floral transform The Laurel into their client’s dream space over and over again, and each time we are left amazed at the beauty. We had the incredible opportunity to hear from the Haute team about the magic behind the scenes, their favorite part of wedding days, and what inspires them to continue creating extraordinary pieces for our happy couples. Haute Floral launched in 2005 and wow, what a ride it's been since then. Over 15 years and what must be thousands of events later, we still find so much joy in what we do. We really love the artistry of it. The creativity behind taking natural elements and ingredients and pulling them together in ways that haven't been done before. Seeing our clients' faces light up when they walk into their reception space or see their bridal bouquet for the first time. You just can't beat it.
Inspiration really can be found from anything and it's part of what makes our floral designs so fun! We are always on the lookout for interesting ingredients and fun ways to interpret different styles, color palettes, and concepts into beautiful floral designs. Some of our favorite inspiring sources are other areas of nature that might not include flowers (think ocean, forests, even celestial!) We also really love to think outside the vase! The challenge of designing florals in a sculptural way is so incredibly fun and always keeps up innovating.
Honestly any chance we get to add beauty to your already gorgeous space, we're there! I think our favorite elements at The Laurel are definitely the rafters in the reception space and the stunning curved window in the chapel. We love just draping flowers and organic greenery from the ceilings and working our way down! And of course, any time we get to bring a little flower magic into the lawn outside is a favorite. Outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours, lounge spaces -- the lawn is such a beautiful spot to enjoy the gorgeous Texas scenery.
I think one of the things that makes Haute Floral really unique is that our design team is full of chameleons. We've carefully curated a team that can embrace and celebrate so many different styles! Our clients really run the gambit from classic and sweet, to wild bohemian, to all out grand and luxurious. It gives us the opportunity to keep flexing our design muscles.
Our couples really do have our hearts. It's so incredible to work side by side with our couples to bring their vision to life. Especially when they trust us to bring our expertise to the table. When clients hire us and let us have fun with their design, that's when we really get to go crazy and have some fun. It can be tempting for couples to go with safe design choices. Of course, a simple compote or group of candles with greenery is always going to look beautiful. But for one-of-a-kind design, you've got to take a step outside that comfort zone and there's no better way to do that than by trusting your vendor team to do their thing! (In fact, if we could give couples one piece of design advice, it'd be that! Trust your vendors and let them work their magic for you!)
We enjoy so many things in our free time! We really enjoy extending our love of beautiful things into home design and interior styling. Kristen is always on the hunt for beautiful products and pieces to make her home a haven. We are even in the works of expanding into a Haute Home line to bring our passion for creating a cozy and beautiful home to all of our couples after their big day! And of course, we can't forget about our pups! Kristen is a huge advocate for rescue dogs and often fosters pups before they find their furever homes.
