Real Weddings || Morgan and Kyle || 10.21.2016

Finding the perfect venue for your wedding is a journey that takes time to unfold. Much like finding the person you want to marry, you should feel the same enjoyment and certainty about where your beautiful occasion will take place. Morgan and Kyle knew they were right where they wanted to be when they exchanged their vows.

We asked Morgan if she would share part of their love story with you. We hope it inspires you amidst your own planning!

Kyle and I met at the dog park in College Station. There was a "small dog" side and a "large dog" side. When Zoe [my small dog] jumped the dividing fence, Kyle said "looks like she wants to come play over here". I instantly thought he was cute and decided, that yes, she did want to go over there. I knew that he was something special. So needless to say, I went back to the dog park every day after until he showed up again! The rest is history.

We found the Laurel after searching wedding venues online. I loved every detail, from the beautiful beams in the chapel, to the amazing fireplace in the reception area. Kyle is from San Antonio, so he instantly loved the "hill country inspired" charm. When we left, we just knew it was the perfect location for us to get married.

My favorite part of the reception was watching all of our dear family and friends in one place, having a great time. Whether it was dancing, playing corn hole on the patio, or spending time in the photo booth, I loved watching everyone around me enjoy themselves. I am still so honored to have had such love surround us on that day.

I have so many great memories coming out of our special day, a few that come to mind are:

Seeing my dad for the first time before the wedding:

My wedding bouquet, which incorporated my late Grandma’s brooch, and late Great-Grandma’s handkerchief:

And our sparkler exit:

Honestly, I think I am one of the lucky ones — my day was literally perfect! Nothing went wrong, and I have nothing I would have done differently. I loved having it at The Laurel, and I loved each and every one of my vendors (I even hate calling them that because I feel like they became friends).
