What can a client expect when they visit The Laurel for the first time?
They can expect to meet a team that is just as excited about the couple’s big day as they are, as well as see beautiful scenery and a beautiful venue. I think every time I’ve taken a tour into our chapel I’ve heard: “Oh, wow!”
What are your top 3 favorite features of The Laurel?
One, the chapel with its beautiful trellis and windows. It’s breathtaking when you walk in.
Two, the lush greenery. You feel like you’re in the country but with all the conveniences of being in town. You get a gorgeous natural background but can still get to your hotel in minutes.
Three, the service, from the day-of coordinator to the linens and bartenders. These necessary details can really add up, but to have them included with our venue is something truly special.
As a recent bride yourself (congrats to you and Josh!), in what ways can you see The Laurel being a great venue for a bride and groom?
I know my husband would have greatly appreciated the groom’s suite! Where we got married, he and his groomsmen had to get ready in a tiny room and felt so cramped. The Pecan Suite would have been perfect — the space is roomy, comfortable and has a TV. (He would have loved to watch ESPN while getting ready!)
I would have loved all the room in the bridal suite as well, the makeup stations are so genius. It’s such a pretty backdrop.
Lastly, of course, the Chapel! We got married outside but I would have loved to have gotten married in The Laurel Chapel.
What would you want other brides to know about The Laurel that might help them feel more confident in their planning process?
As a bride, I worried so much about the what-ifs: What if the caterer doesn’t show up? What if the musicians are late? Who’s going to make sure we stay on time? What if we run out of alcohol? The biggest peace of mind at The Laurel is that it’s our job to worry about those “what-ifs.” Every bride has a professional from The Laurel with her on the day of her wedding to take care of all of these things so that she can relax and enjoy her wedding, which is the whole point!
