The wedding cake — an edible work of art, the sweetest part of your reception, a glorious display of tasty design found perched atop a stand awaiting the bride and groom’s attention. (Your guests are anxiously waiting for it, too.)
Like a great unveiling, we always look forward to seeing our brides’ and grooms’ cakes. No two are ever the same — and yet each one has a way of leaving us both in awe and reaching for the closest fork.
These cakes are so gorgeous you don’t want to see them cut . . . but, alas, the fulfillment of their overall enjoyment is when you get your slice.
Our grooms’ cakes have all been show-stoppers, but much to our chagrin, we have yet to see one shaped like a giant armadillo. (Wink!)
(Don’t pass that last image too quick — the wine barrel is so realistic it’s hard to believe it’s a cake!)
Wedding cakes show off style in a way no other wedding detail can. And what’s better than cutting the cake and enjoying your first bite as husband and wife?
So many cakes to love! Which one of these amazing cakes has you wishing you had a taste?
